1 Anunnaki is a science fiction movie - the Ancient Sumerian Gods who created the Human Races through Interbreeding
The 1st Annunaki is the story of an Alien Race of Giant hominoids who visited Planet Earth from the 12th Planet (counting the Sun and the Moon) according to the Sumerian Tablets - using cuneiform writing invented in Mesopotamia - which describe how two Annunaki leaders, Enki and his half-sister Ninhursag, produced a hybrid, slave race from the indigenous ape-like peoples of the planet. Hence, an alien “interbreeding program” is central to the Annunaki narrative.
Some researchers do really believe in the Legend, the most well-known being Zecharia Sitchin who was originally an economics historian of the London School. He identifies the Annunaki - “those who from heaven to earth came” as he translates that term - with the Biblical Nefhilim, “the Watchers” of the Book of Enoch. These are alien entities who “came into the daughters of men” as Genesis says.

WTF i would like to see this film!
This movie has really NO chance for a release. It bashes modern religions so therefore it has been banned. Especially during these days, while the US is at war against islam Extremists they do not want this kind of interference.
And because of the title: Darwin was wrong.. well they sure don't want the mainstream to get info about the Annunaki. Did you guys ever watched planet of the apes? Well welcome to the planet of the apes...
what a shame, indeed! iv been looking forward for this film to come out ever since i first heard about it, in 2002..im about to give hope up! its a real pity though...it would have been a very intersting change in the cliche bullsh*t alien films we are forced to getting used to....
I've seen many websites discussing this issue and it makes sense even though there still a lot of argument about the theory. It's true that Darwin's hypothesis isn't supported by by the fossil record completely, there are many gaps in it. What does disturb me is the claim that the dark races are the descendants of the "original" inhabitants of Earth while the whites are descended from the hybrid Annanaki/Human species. This could be interpreted to mean that the non whites are genetically inferior. There is much evidence to dispute this argument.
A good deal of the Sitchen material contained a great deal of conjecture. Many of the Sumarian tablets were damaged and could not be interpreted or translated. There was no mention of a 12th planet or where the Annunaki actually came from other than they just appeared. Further the Book of Enoch confirms much of the Sumarian translations. I would strongly recommend anybody who is interested in the Annunaki/Annanage material to go to this site http://www.goldenageproject.org.uk/index.php
The work of a little known geologist called Christian O'Brien (now deceased) who did some outstanding research in this field and I highly recommend his books on this topic namely : The Genius of the Few and The Shining Ones. It would also be of value to all interested if you Google Edmund Marriage and listen and view as many of his interviews and talks as possible.
Shame it didn't come out. The subject of the movie would've been highly original and the "ancient astronauts" theory has so much potential. Forum users on a few sites have been wondering if the the movie's supposed cancelation was sabotage. I hope not. That would be rather silly to do. You don't have to believe it if you don't want to. If this is a result of someone getting overly pissy over a science fiction film, I don't think I'd be surprised.
Unfortunately for whoever might have canceled the movie, I have a story planned based on the theory as well. Not a movie, moreso something just for fun. Anyway, still disappointed on the cancelation. It would've been an interesting movie.
what bs. i want to see this movie. I highly doubt this was canceled to suppress information. Anyone with internet access can learn more than a movie can teach in two hours. Anyone know the production company? Did they release a statement about why it never came out? Discovery Channel shows this subject with people who believe its true called ancient aliens so i dont think a movie which just uses effects and is meant to entertain would be stopped to keep us from believing...
The production company is Jaguar Films and its the history channel that is in its third season of ancient aliens.
